A collection of promotional work for both the inside organization of Tweddle Group and for social media. At Tweddle Group, they create understanding. And they make Owner’s Information a vital part of the customer’s everyday life. That’s why OEMs know them as the industry’s premier information partner.
New Personal Branding
Needing a fresher, lighter approach to my brand in my new stage of life, I was looking to start combining my different interests in skills in the most cohesive way possible. Something that was genuinely "me". Two things I take the most pride in besides design: vector and watercolor. The two cornerstones of my passions!
Ford Flair Posters
Created for display in the Tweddle Group offices located in Sterling Heights. Given permission from Ford we were able to create modern poster designs using their assets to add flair to an otherwise greige space. It brings light and motivation to our Ford authoring team in that location, and to our visiting clients.
A collection of my analogous works with watercolor paint. Many people find it a frustrating medium, but its free flowing and flexible nature is why I love it so much. It’s quite editable, too.
Making information interesting (and the numbers bearable).
The hours of operation for the Dining Halls can get very complicated during holiday breaks, I wanted to simplify it graphically.
Spartan Football Rose Bowl
Working for the Spartan Football organization has been a huge opportunity for me. I definitely scored with a job there my senior year, the year the Spartans won the Big Ten Championship and the Rose Bowl! As one of the first Graphic Designers hired by the recruiting department, my main responsibilities were to create mailers featuring upcoming recruits. Coach Mark Dantonio himself would sometimes personally sign some of the mailers. Once Rose Bowl season hit, I was blessed to be able to create amazing mailers for before and after the win.
One of my most recognized works of all was the Rose Petal Helmet, which was tweeted out by various coaches, featured in many online articles such as collegespun.com and 247sports, and has graced many twitter profiles, tumblr profiles, and desktops across the Spartan community. It is definitely something I am proud to have contributed to Spartan history!
For my final capstone advertising/design project, as a team we had to come up with a way to make Michigan State University's official internet safety campaign called SecureIT more compelling to the student body, specifically incoming freshman. After extensive primary and secondary research, we decided on a mobile app game where Sparty fights evil viruses throughout campus landmarks. Though the mobile game was in concept stages, the character of SecureIT Sparty lived on long after our graduation, continuing to teach students the importance of strong passwords, the dangers of file sharing and how to avoid phishing emails, all through social media and print. A digital Sparty for the digital age! We also concepted promotional goods and outdoor ads.
Secure IT Sparty in action
Every year before the big University of Michigan and MSU rivalry game, the MSU Spartan Marching band camps out in front of the Spartan statute to protect it from potential Wolverine vandals. It's usually a chilly time of the year, so having our Sparty "secure" the statue while handing out blankets and hot chocolate would leave a lasting impression on our brave Spartans.
During the Big Games
Red Robin Request for Proposal
A team of data analysts and designers were given a task to present Red Robin Gourmet Burgers a new plan for their website capabilities. For the designers, this meant taking a lot of wordy analytical data and presenting it in a way that was compelling to the review team, and spoke in the voice of Red Robin's branding. We also had to present our company in a way that proved we knew what we were doing when it came to digital asset management. Over the course of a week myself, another art director, and a team of copywriters created this 12x12 book, which received such high praises from Red Robin headquarters that we not only won the business, but more prints of the book were demanded as well!
A chance to show off my illustration skills with non-specific projects. This ranges anywhere from actual magazine covers to just fun print pieces inspired from just about everything.
Concepts for products and beautiful things you can touch and hold.
Earth Justice Matchbook Concept
Wouldn't it be nice if those eyesore smokestacks weren't in the way of what really matters? This matchbook is interactive and sends a broad message on our ever present blemishes on the environment. I choose Earth Justice for their contributions and support for keeping the earth green.
My experimentations with Adobe After Effects and beyond. Most of what I have so far are Illustrator files imported into AE. Some even use Powerpoint!
RVX Final Cut
Tweddle takes its clients data and makes it engaging for their customers. This video was animated in PowerPoint (believe it or not) and was used to showcase Tweddle and their ability to create understanding to potential new business partners at the 2019 RVX trade show. All animation is my own.
Secure It Sparty
Animation for the start screen of a mobile app game. The game is based around an internet security campaign I did for MSU Secure IT. Blast viruses and enjoy with friends!
Just a fun animation done in After Effects. We were trying to come up with a vision statement for our design team, this was one of the most popular ideas.
