recipley
After polling friends and colleagues on an everyday digital annoyance they would like to see improved, recipley was born. We’ve probably either heard or felt this exact scenario while trying to cook: You want to make a recipe, not hear the blogger’s life story. It is commonplace on many food blogs that you needlessly have to scroll through lengths of unnecessary text and ads, not so with recipley!
Ease of use was the name of the game with this app design. I wanted to make it much like other apps and site that suggest recipes based on feeding it information on what ingredients you have available, with a twist. Instead of needing to wake up your laptop or tablet every time you wanted to see the next step, losing your place, I designed recipley to boldly display each step in the recipe process, with clear visual indicators of measurements and instructions.
The design allows the users to easily scroll back steps if need be. I purposefully kept the color palette limited for easy readability.
